White Rock Pier

Time for play in the later part of day. The green grass of summer and the view and people on the Pier, Summer of 2007 was not the best I have seen during my 19 years in White Rock.
Jet streams tells us the year of 2008 will be dry and hot for most part of the summer period April to September.
2008....a good year? Yes most of us survived and the weather ...
We should be pleased.....investment 'specialists', investment brokers, gurus in finance and banks 'saw it coming' overheated by overly optimistic prime and sub prime lenders 'selling' of mortgages [anyone could get]...wow and in retrospect 'who could know?' [maybe the car leasing companies?] and many really could not afford..after all.
Financial shockwaves rumbled ...the end of 2008 signalled a wake-up call to all and the masses, the public, that the 'party was over' and the 'thing to do' was simplyto follow the instructions to 'tighten your belts, set all operations on 'maintenance mode', change your lifestyle and run and distance yourselves from the 'gurus' that got us into this mess we can see evidence of early this year 2009...
Surrey is expanding and working according to plan. Much thanks to a mayor Diane Watts keeping steady by the helm and rudder and working in harmony with her city Council also this year , 2009.
City of White Rock is ...'hoping for miracles from a 'new conservative set of councilors and a brand spanking new mayor walking the board walk, 'the White Rock Ocean Promenade'; maybe contemplating the future of this tourist friendly, gelato and pop-corn consuming visitors and public strolling the Marine Drive and enjoying the oasis on the beaches along the Pacific Ocean by Marine Drive in White Rock's pristine seaside?
